Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is Belarusian born in Minsk. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father who plays hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born May 5, 1998 in Minsk Belarus. She has been able to be the winner of 12 WTA singles championships, which includes an Grand Slam in the Australian Open of 2023. Doubles is another sport where she shines. In the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021, US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both taken by Elise Mertens. She took home each of in the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian partner, completing the Sunshine Double. Only four women's pairs were able to achieve this feat. The Belarusian rose from second place to third on the singles world rankings on the 23rd of August in 2021. The highest ranking she achieved was again achieved in January of 2023. The same year she won in Melbourne in the following year, and then went to the top spot worldwide for doubles. Her coach was the former Russian tennis champion Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the season in 2019 and partially at the start of 2020. She also briefly teamed up with Dieter Kindlmann in August until September 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow nationman, has been her coach from the year 2020. Serena Williams is her role model, then Maria Sharapova.
